This app provides institutions with the ability to add/activate or inactivate a Warning Flag or Lockout Flag on a group of persons or accounts. The batch application may be configured to process the flags maintenance based on parameter values, or to read in a comma-delimited file of data to be updated. This application produces a single report detailing the changed data and listing any errors.
Most DNA clients make regular use of warning and lockout flags, applying them to individual accounts, people and organizations to alert staff of vital information, such as a positive attribute of a VIP customer/member or an unfortunate collection situation. However, some warnings and alerts may be required for large blocks of accounts and customers/members. In these situations, placing a warning one account at a time can be a time consuming, inefficient chore.
Enter the Warning and Lockout Automation DNAapp.
This app enables users to add/activate or remove/inactivate Warning Flags and Lockout Flags on a group of persons or accounts in one fell swoop. For example, if you have multiple overdrawn checking accounts that need a warning to alert staff, you could use this app to assign a warning or lockout on all of the accounts that are overdrawn by "X" dollar amount in a single action, eliminating the hassle of an employee assigning the warnings one account at a time. The app can also be used to de-activate warnings and lockouts on a mass group of accounts and customers/members.
The Warning and Lockout Automation DNAapp is a batch application that is easily configured with different parameters to add or delete warnings and lockouts. If you currently leverage warning and lockout flags across multiple accounts and customers/members, this app will save you time and hassle.
A runtime parameter (8IS) defines whether the application will read an input file or use the remaining run-time parameters to process the Warning and Lockout Flags. The ‘Parameters’ option works well if a large number of persons, organizations, or accounts need to have a the same action performed (i.e. expiring all warning flags of a specific type). If, however, the required updates vary (i.e. some persons, some organizations, varying flags and actions), then the ‘File’ option should be selected. If a file is used, then the remaining run-time parameters, except ‘Report Only YN’ and ‘Record Activity Y/N’, will be ignored. For each warning or lockout flag update performed, the application can write the corresponding information to the Activity table, depending on the setting of the ‘Record Activity Y/N’ application parameter.
Requires DNA 3.0 or higher.
