This DNAapp reviews accounts that are combined for statement production purposes, and will adjust primary account statement frequencies to ensure that all accounts are in sync. Anytime a situation is found where a linked account’s statement cycle is more frequent than then primary account’s cycle (for example, linked account is monthly, primary account is quarterly), the primary account will be changed to have the most frequent cycle. This program also has an option that will allow the inclusion of loans.
This application will only evaluate accounts already linked for combined statements. The application will modify the cycle code of accounts that are currently linked when necessary, but will not link any accounts.
This application evaluates all primary statement accounts (a primary statement account is defined as an account that has at least one linked secondary statement account), and evaluates the primary account's and all linked accounts' statement cycle.
If a linked account has a different statement cycle than the primary account, the application will evaluate the statement cycles of accounts combined (including the primary account and all linked secondary accounts), and update the primary account's cycle accordingly. The application will optionally update the secondary accounts cycle. The cycles to evaluate and other settings are based on a cross-reference table and parameter settings detailed later in this document.
All primary statement accounts will be evaluated by this application, regardless of Product (Major and Minor). The institution will be able to define which products should be evaluated as linked accounts.
If all linked accounts are closed (or not equal to a value entered in the run-time parameters detailed later in this document), the application will evaluate the cross reference table and the Primary Statement Account's Cycle History – to see if the Primary Accounts Cycle needs to be set back to their “original” statement cycle frequency (or optionally be set back to the products default statement cycle). If the Linked Account Status Code Parameter detailed later in this document is left blank, primary accounts will not be set back to their “original” statement cycle frequency.
Note that if an account is manually de-linked, and the Primary Account has no other linked accounts, this application will not evaluate it to determine if the Primary Account's statement cycle frequency should be re-set to its original value. Any such cycle changes will need to be made manually.
This application does not modify Service Charge or Interest cycles.
If the account has a future statement cycle defined, the cycle code will not be modified for the account and an exception will be reported in the Exception section of the report.
