This DNAapp links or delinks accounts for combined statements based on the tax owner, account roles, account titles and mailing address. The financial institution must define products and accounts that should not be automatically linked or delinked using calculation variables or the “Exclude Appl” screen in product maintenance or account maintenance. If a product’s calculation variables are changed and delinking is enabled, accounts in the modified products will be delinked and relinked based on the new settings. If a product or account is excluded using the “Exclude Appl” screen, it will no longer be linked or delinked by this application, regardless of calculation variable settings. Accounts will be eligible to be linked when both accounts have the same persons and organizations associated with them, based on the tax owner and the FI specified account roles. The roles must match on both accounts. The DNAapp has an option to require that account titles match as well. The DNAapp will check for matching address use codes and only link the accounts if both accounts are using the same address.
Selecting Accounts to be Linked
the account is not linked to a statement account
the account is not a statement account to any other account
the account has a current account status code found in the “Account Statuses to Include” (DRST) parameter
the account (or the account product) has the “Link to Statement Account” calculation variable set to “Y”
the account (or the account product) is not excluded via the “Exclude Appl” screen
Finding the Primary Statement Account
the product must have the “Statement Account” calculation variable set to “Y”
the account is not already linked to another Primary Statement Account
the account has a current account status code found in the “Account Statuses to Include” (DRST) parameter
the account must have the same members associated with it, including the account roles specified in the “Roles to Include” (ROLI) parameter, in the matching roles
if more than one matching Primary Statement Account is found, the lowest numbered account will be used
the numeric portion of the address, the state and first 5 of the zip code must match
the account must have a matching account description (two nulls are considered a match) if the “Match Account Descriptions” (8MAD) parameter is set to “Y”.
