These two applications help financial institutions streamline and reduce potential errors in the rate change process. One application creates a data file from DNA containing existing interest calculation schedule tiers and rates. This file can be imported into Excel and updates can be made in Excel. The data in the updated spreadsheet can be saved and then imported back into DNA using the second application.
Rate Schedule Read Application
This batch will generate a comma separated file containing information on interest calculation schedules and their active tiers and active rates with the purpose of Interest Accrual and Crediting.
It will provide tier, balance and rate information on all tiers with an active effective date. The Schedule Names and Balance information are provided for assistance with defining the calculation schedule and tier to be maintained.
The application will not provide any product information.

Rate Schedule Write Application
This application reads an input CSV file containing calculation schedule data and updates the database.The input CSV file is produced by PS_RATE_SCHED_READ batch application (The user can changethe rate values and rename the file).
The app will load the saved comma separated file into the database, and update the calculationschedules that have had rate changes on existing tiers. These updates will be written to activity.
The effective date parameter is to allow the client to input an effective date further into the future. If a date is entered in the parameter that is less than the next business day, the application will use the nextbusiness date as the date. This application will not allow the rate schedule changes to be back effectivedated

This DNAapp is compatible with DNA 3.0 or higher. You will need to download and install the Configuration Toolkit which will configure DNA to load and manage DNAapps. This toolkit is included in the DNA release CD since DNA 3.3 and will be updated here whenever a more recent release is available.
